  Purchased a bouquet a day before valentines the flowers already look dull in less than 24 hrs and keep in mind we transferred them to a vase immediately.The flowers aren’t fresh at all and the water already smells really bad. The bouquet was not cheap at all I always get flower arrangements from this place but lately the quality is been horrible definitely the last time I get flowers from this place. Tired of giving this place a chance. My money went to waste. I ordered a bouquet online just as a big winter storm was coming, and called to confirm delivery.   Purchased 3 bulbous red roses and a few accompanying fern stems for Valentine’s Day 2023, needless to say the flowers looked very nice but around 30 mins after purchase I noticed that they smelled like a rotting fish in the hot summer sun. I had several friends also smell them and they confirmed the putrid scent. I tried getting into contact with the store by calling but never received a response. When paying a premium for flowers I’d at least expect the flowers to not smell like a corpse. Nothing against the workers they were all lovely just disappointing that this occurred.   Everytime I have bought flowers from here they are absolutely beautiful but die within a week (even if I cut the stems and change the water or use distilled water). I bought a calathea plant from here and i put it on my window. My window overlooks an alley and needless to say it barely gets sunlight. It died in less than a month and when I asked for a replacement they refused. I will be taking my business to True Value and Whole Foods whose plants last wayyyyyy longer in my recent experience.   One of my favorite places in all Boston. Not only is the staff warm and friendly, but they are all extremely helpful, and the environment in the store is amazing. I went two weeks ago to get a bouquet of flowers for my mom's birthday. I had no idea what to get, just told the girl working that I wanted pink, white, and a hint of yellow. She put together the post gorgeous bouquet for me, and my mom absolutely loved it. She also adores fern, and met the owner on one occasion, who is also lovely. She told him that fern is one of my favorite flower shops and he made me a special bouquet. Absolutely love this place and cannot sing enough praises.   I ordered some flowers online for Valentine's Day. I had made a mistake with my credit card details and they emailed me IMMEDIATELY to ask for the correct expiry which they processed straight away. I got the receipt a few minutes later and I noticed that they had charged me twice for delivery. I emailed straight back, no reply. Emailed again the next day, no reply. I eventually made an international call to sort it out and was informed that they had added a surcharge for Valentine's Day and that this was their policy, while admitting that that is not stated on the website.   I found Boston Rose as I searched for a local florist since I live out-of-state. I was glad to see arrangements on their website & choose a bouquet and price. When I spoke to Victoria and Bruce & told them my intent, they were able to suggest a custom arrangement for the same price. I requested and received a text photo of the flowers and was very pleased! When a hospital delivery address snag occurred, Bruce found a solution and my ill relatives were very happy to receive the beautiful flowers. Great customer service from Boston Rose Florist!!   A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. I have always found the service extremely pleasant. Even when I say I just want the flowers randomly packaged because I will distribute among different vases and arrange them at home, clerks always insist on arranging them anyway, telling me "you can rearrange at home, but we can't let you walk out with random flowers!" One minor grumble is that when I give a price limit and then go "shopping" with the clerk who I trust to keep me within that limit, we never stay within that limit and I end up with a bit more than I wanted to spend. When I was little I went there and saw a beta fish struggling in less than 2 intches of water, c;early not being fed and assumed to feed off the bamboo plant. I was too little to convince my parents to save it. I came back a few years later and I think another beta is in its place, right towards the opening as a decoration.   I went to Boston Rose Florist to buy some silk snapdragons for my wife for our anniversary. He said he could have them delivered to me the same day. When asked how much I wanted to spend, I told him "no more than $125" for the flowers, vase, and delivery. He said it wouldn't cost that much. That evening, I waited and waited. Eventually, I got a message from a neighbor who said that there were flowers on his steps addressed to me. They had been left at the wrong address and the delivery person didn't try to notify me. Had my neighbor not contacted me, I would never have known they were there. But they weren't what I ordered at all! They looked nothing like snapdragons. On top of that, he charged me $132 (more than I said I wanted to spend). He claimed this was due to tax, but when I say "I don't want to spend more than $125" that's exactly what I mean - including tax, fees, surcharges. When I confronted him about them not looking anything like snapdragons, he said he would replace them with something that looked more realistic. I waited a week and, when I received no update, contacted him again. He said it would take several more weeks to get them from his supplier. When I attempted to contact him several weeks later, he did not respond. I tried a few more times to reach him - still no response.   Boston Rose florist has been in the area for awhile it seems. They always go above a beyond when it comes to making sure your event is a success. I recently used them for my girlfriends baby shower and they came up with the best ideas. Boston Rose has many designers at the shop and each with there own unique style. I worked with Molly, who is an art student at one of the colleges in the area, she came up modern ideas that I have never seen before. The arrangements were jaw droppers! I didn't want anything to girly so she incorporated succulents and airplanes into each arrangement so everyone at the end of the night had a little something to remember the night by. I would highly recommend doing an event with them and even if you just want to get something unique for the house.   I love this place. The owner is very friendly and helpful with plant advice. I love how selective the inventory is as well. They are pricey, but i don’t mind supporting local business and they specially curate plants and take great care of them, unlike Home Depot. Yes-cheaper plant, but not high quality and probably sick. The staff was friendly and genuinely interested in what they do there. Given only a budget and some loose color/theme ideas the woman helping me built me a wonderful arrangement unique to my preferences that was that far surpassed my expectations. Never again will I order a generic arrangement online and I will absolutely be going back to Fern.   Fern is one of the absolute cutest shops I have ever been in! They have such a huge variety of flowers and plants, and they have pretty reasonable prices, especially for the quality. I have bought several plants from Fern and I love all of them, my only regret being that I can't fit any more into my apartment!
