  I've been here a few times for special occasions.The flowers are great and they last a while. I'm a little disappointed today with the service because I picked up flowers for my girlfriends birthday and tried to place an order for valentines day...and the guy said "you need to place the order online or call in". So...I have to call in to place an order even though I'm in front of your freaking face!? And the place was dead...I would understand if it was packed that would be a different story.   I saw some reviews where the review was not nice. But I had very good experience with Hayward flowers. I asked them to deliver a nice rose bouquet to my daughter for her birthday in 3 hours. And they did just that by creating beautiful bouquet for delivery. Under promised over delivered. I am happy and very grateful. My daughter was very happy. Thank you Hayward Flowers. Good Job. It's also located right across from the cemetery and we went there on father's day and it wasn't busy inside but glad my wife saw this place and will stop here to get our flowers!!!   Hayward Flower Shop in Mission Blvd. in Hayward, CA has been my Florist for 42 years. I have always received the best customer service in person or on the phone. Over the years not once have I been disappointed. They are so creative! They use the freshest most beautiful flowers and the arrangements last longer then expected. I always recommend them.   Purchased a funeral spray standing. Picture had all white flowers with one single blue rose. It looked so perfect our co-worker the blue rose that will be missed. They would not deliver we had to pick up. When we did there was no blue rose. When asked about it there was no concern to work something else out just “oh that’s just in the picture. We did that for a special order customer.” Wait I thought I was a customer 🤔. I was so disappointed 😔 but there was no time. There also was no trying to figure something else out. Maybe even a yellow rose doe friendship. It was just a well that’s it. The ribbon was not laying across the wreath it was below in the easel, you couldn’t really see what it said. Honestly I’m sorry for grieving people coming to this store. Maybe just because it’s right across the street from Holy Sepulchre that’s where they get business.   Called on a Monday to order flowers for a funeral on the Friday , the lady on the phones attitude was”I’m to busy, let me see if we can”. Asked about delivery to the funeral home and after a tug of war with her about what time the flowers could be delivered , I asked if the banner could be done in the Vietnamese language . That’s when her short and curt attitude became outright rude!!! Won’t use the “R” word but I basically said I will try another place, I nicely asked if she could recommend another florist? I don’t know what I was thinking, of course she couldn’t. So if you are of Asian Decent you may wish to seek other local florists. PS: I received excellent service from Karen’s. Forgot to mention I ordered from the seattle area and have never left a negative comment anywhere. Felt it was needed here.   When we got married it was at a very minimal budget. I thought of using plastic flowers and I realized that it was very expensive too, as you have to buy them by the stem. After a while the amount accumulated and resulted to be expensive as well. One day, I was passing in Mission, I saw this flower shop. I thought because it was in front of the cemetery the flowers they sell is only for the dead (i was such an ignorant). I decided to check it out anyway. Boy! Was I wrong. Not only did they have beautiful fresh flowers, but the owners were so nice and accommodating. The guy asked me what my budget is... the wife showed me the cheap but beautiful flowers that I can use for a wedding reception. I ended up ordering my flowers in this store. On the day of my wedding the flowers were delivered in my house, and they were so beautiful! I could not believe it, since I paid very minimal for it. Cheap but beautiful. This place is one of the hidden gem of Hayward. Nice owners, good quality fresh flowers, and they are decent people who are willing to work with you if you are in a tight budget. I recommend this store to anyone who needs flowers for any event... yes including flowers for the dead. Sorry it took 5 years before I write this review but I just want to THANK YOU GUYS for making my wedding day a very cheery one. The reception hall look very elegant.
