  Our family had services for our loved one and Fred's did an excellent job providing our flowers. The sprays, the bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres all were the perfect accent for the funeral.   Expensive for a flower place but nice arrangements. But the service is absolutely horrible, I walked in some blonde behind the counter looks at me and nothing. Some other lady comes out and says what do you need or something like that, I was surprised, well I need flowers, thinking to myself why else would I be in a flower shop. Not once any type of smile, suggestion, nothing once I picked something she was like here's a box here's your receipt no thanks for your business nothing. I walk with a cane so I'm trying to get the arrangement and see best way to Carry it to my car open the door ect. Cane falls over I pick it up and you think someone would have offered to help me out to my car, even hold the door open but nothing just let me struggle to get out.   I was told by the recipient that the flowers are very nice and delivered on time. But don't rely on getting a receipt when placing a phone order! I requested it 3 times by phone, and when sending an email it actually bounced back as undeliverable! It's the law that vendors are required to send receipts when paying by credit cards. When it comes to the flowers, they are absolutely beautiful and made a great gift to my grandma for her birthday. Overall, the place has good customer service and stunning bouquets.   My husband ordered me flowers from here, they are beautiful, even nicer then the picture online. They had problems with the delivery (which a lot of people do since its gated) and when my husband called to make sure they had delivered the flowers, they made a 2nd trip to deliver even though they were closing.   I called at least 10 other local florist in the Hayward area, I got the phone number for Fred's and Son from a competitor that was about to close. The very cheerful Son of Fred personally delivered the arrangement for my daughter at St. Rose Hospital in about an hour. I am very grateful for his exceptional service and reasonable price. Dad's girl is far from home serving our country on a Coast Guard Cutter in the bay area.
